Biography
A. M. Wheelock was the father of William E. Wheelock, head of the New York piano firm William E. Wheelock & Company. He was described as an eminent and highly respected citizen of Brooklyn who for years served as treasurer of the city funds. The text credits him as the source of the sterling commercial honesty and moral uprightness for which his son and the Wheelock firm were known.
