Biography
Adam Bent was partner with his brother William in the Boston firm of William & Adam Bent, musical instrument makers, listed at 26 Orange Street from 1800 and continuing until 1807. After the firm went out of business (by 1809), Adam Bent retired and became a land speculator in South Boston, according to Thomas Appleton's account.
