Biography
C. F. Albrecht founded a Philadelphia piano-making business that was later succeeded by the firm of Blasius & Son, well known as makers of popular-priced pianos. Spillane notes that Albrecht is discussed at greater length elsewhere in the book, but credits him here as the originator of the business Blasius & Son inherited.
