Biography
C. H. Hackley was described as the philanthropic lumber king of Muskegon, Michigan. In 1889 he formed a partnership with Braton S. Chase to start the Chase-Hackley Piano Company, motivated by a desire to bring fame to Muskegon as the home of the Chase Brothers and Chase-Hackley pianos.
