Biography
Son of the piano-action-factory founder J. C. L. Isermann, C. W. Isermann assumed management of the Hamburg firm in 1870, continuing its growth after his father's era of expansion. He died on December 29, 1900, in his sixty-first year, having overseen the business into the new century before his own son, Ludolf Isermann, joined the firm a few years later.
