Biography
Carl Nicolai Schröder, son of Karl Michael Schröder, continued his father's progressive policy, keeping the family firm abreast of modern developments in piano construction as well as factory organization and equipment. Under him the firm was appointed purveyor to the Emperors of Russia, Austria and Germany, and the Kings of Denmark and Bavaria. After his death, management of the establishment passed to his sons, John and Oskar Schröder.
