Christian F. L. Albrecht appears in the Philadelphia city directory beginning in 1825, doing business at 98 Sassafras (later Race) Street, and continues in successive directory issues until 1842, after which the Albrecht name disappears from the record before reappearing later. Spillane surmises he was very probably a son of the pianoforte maker Charles Albrecht.
