Christopher
piano maker
Biography
Christopher was one of two practical workmen, along with Grow, who founded the piano-making firm of Grow & Christopher in 1841. The concern made very good instruments and was known in the trade until 1857, when it disappeared from notice; Spillane notes that its instruments were not shown at local exhibitions, leaving little further record of the firm or its principals.
