Biography
Clayton A. Grinnell joined his brother Ira L. Grinnell in founding the firm of Grinnell Brothers in Detroit in 1882, and served as first vice-president when the firm was incorporated in 1912. Described as the best known member of the corporation to the outside world, he was active in promoting the interests of the fraternity of piano dealers and was elected president of the National Association of Piano Dealers of America.
