Biography
Dr. Walter Niemann contributed a short essay on acoustics to the 1909 edition of the "Lehrbuch des Pianofortebaues," along with a history of the piano up to the general introduction of the iron frame. He also authored "Das Klavierbuch" (C. F. Kahnt Nachfolger, Leipsic), described by Dolge as "an entertaining little book on the piano, its music, composers and virtuosos," notable for its illustrations of rare pictures of noted artists at the keyboard.
