Biography
Edgar B. Jones, son of Frederick George Jones, was born at Oregon, Illinois, in 1880. Showing musical talent early, he was sent to the conservatory of music at Leipzig, Germany, in 1899 but was called back a year later to help manage the family's fast-growing Schiller Piano Company business. He was elected treasurer of the company, took charge of the office and sales department, and later also assumed the office of secretary.
