Edward Quincy Norton was, in Dolge's description, "a piano maker of long and manifold experience" who wrote "Construction and Care of the Pianoforte" in 1892, published by Oliver Ditson & Company of Boston. The book offers valuable suggestions for tuners and repairers and, Dolge notes, was still selling well at the time of writing.
