Biography
Edwin Nelson Kimball, Jr. devoted his entire career to piano manufacturing, learning the trade under his father, who was then president of the Hallet and Davis Company. In 1900 Kimball, Jr. succeeded his father in the presidency and from then on took charge of the concern's manufacturing department. Possessed of a systematic, orderly mind well suited to factory organization, he demonstrated this talent in designing and equipping the new mammoth factories the Hallet and Davis Company erected in Boston in 1912. A photographic portrait and his signature accompany the text.
