Biography
F. G. Smith was the manufacturing partner in the firm of Dorman, French and Smith, which mainly sold the Bradbury piano that he made. Jesse French, Sr. took a one-third interest in the firm in 1876; he later bought out Smith's interest, after which the firm was renamed Dorman and French.
