Biography
Farini, along with Crotone, is named as one of two celebrated Italian harpsichord-makers who appeared after Father Zanetti's innovations popularized the instrument in Italy around 1702. Farini is specifically credited with substituting catgut for wire in the harpsichord and giving the resulting instrument the name 'clavictherium.'
