Biography

Father Zanetti, a Venetian priest, is credited by Spillane with introducing innovations to the harpsichord that gave the instrument new popularity in Italy. His contribution is dated to around 1702, notably late given that the Italians were the instrument's original inventors but had been slow to adopt it widely themselves.
