Biography

Fissore is named by Spillane alongside Daniel Walker as a developer of a scheme for mechanical screw tuning-pins intended to replace wooden pin-blocks. Like Walker's device, Fissore's scheme ultimately failed to be adopted, though Spillane observes that belief in mechanical screw tuning processes persisted in the trade.
