Francis Bonneau was among the early New York action-makers who followed pioneer Andrew Brunet into the trade, operating a shop at 176 Centre Street. He is named by Spillane alongside Andrew Orlander and the firm of Stebbins & Smith as part of the city's growing action-manufacturing industry before 1856.
