Frank Van der Stucken
Biography
Frank Van der Stucken is noted as having conducted symphony concerts for several seasons in Chickering Hall in New York, in the sequence of conductors and orchestras that used the hall, following Gotthold Carlberg's Orchestra and preceding Anton Seidl's appearances there with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The text gives no further biographical information about him beyond this activity. Frank Van der Stucken conducted a series of symphony concerts at the old Chickering Hall on Fifth Avenue and Eighteenth Street in New York. It was through his acquaintance that Ernest Urchs obtained his first position as a retail piano salesman, with Chickering and Sons.
