Biography
Frederick P. Stieff was a son of Charles M. Stieff, founder of the Baltimore piano firm bearing the family name. After the founder's death, the business was carried on successfully by Frederick and his brother Charles, with technical management of the factories placed in the hands of Charles J. Gross, son of the firm's longtime factory expert Jacob Gross. A portrait of Frederick P.
