Biography
Fritz was a German practical piano-maker who had worked as a case-maker in the shop of Dubois, Bacon & Chambers before partnering with Linden in 1840 to found the firm of Linden & Fritz. The company began at 115 Walker Street and later moved to Broadway near Broome Street, producing very good instruments before disappearing from the trade after 1857.
