Biography
George Nembach, a native of Saxe-Coburg, Germany, joined George Steck's retail piano business in 1865 as a salesman and bookkeeper. When Steck sold his interest and retired from the firm in January 1887, Nembach became the chief stockholder of the reorganized Steck & Company, alongside Robert C. Kammerer and Fred Dietz.
