Biography
H. Barmore, together with G. Barmore, formed the firm of G. & H. Barmore, which appeared in the New York trade in 1832 at 120 Barrow Street. The firm attained a reputation as a maker of popular-priced instruments and remained in business past 1850, winning a diploma for merit at the Mechanics' Institute in 1836 and further favorable mentions in subsequent exhibitions.
