Biography
Upon the retirement of James Starr, Henry Gennett and associates obtained control of the Starr Piano Company and began a campaign of expansion that made the concern one of the leaders of the middle west. Gennett assumed business management, opening distributing warerooms in many leading cities of the western and southern states, while Benjamin Starr superintended the factories, assisted by Gennett's son Harry. The business assumed immense proportions under Henry Gennett's guidance. A portrait photograph of him accompanies the text.
