Biography
Hinzen is named, together with Rosen, as one of the renowned German pioneer piano makers active in Louisville, Kentucky, in the western United States. The text credits Hinzen and Rosen with teaching James H. Butler the art of piano making before Butler took a position in the repair shop of Smith and Nixon in Cincinnati.
