Biography

J. T. Stoddard was one of the best-known Baltimore piano-makers, named alongside Charles M. Stieff as among the city's leading firms outside of Gaehle & Company and Knabe & Company. He is noted as deserving mention for his activity in the piano trade from 1860 up to 1876.
