Biography
James C. Miller was one of the five sons of Henry F. Miller who, following their father's death in 1884, constituted the successor firm of H. F. Miller & Sons. Like his brothers, he had been trained to fill a specific line of work relating to the commercial and practical progress of the business, a division of roles Spillane credits with the firm's continued success.
