Biography
John Brown was a fellow workman of Isaac Woodward and a member of the family of Edwin Brown, of Brown & Hallet. In 1845 he formed a business partnership with Woodward, whose firm had begun in 1843 as Woodward & Company, and the two continued together in what became the well-known house of Woodward & Brown.
