Biography
John F. Jacob trained for years with Hardman, Peck & Company and with Billings & Wheelock before co-founding the Jacob Brothers piano business in 1878 alongside his brother Charles Jacob. He died in 1885, after which his youngest brother, C. Albert Jacob, was admitted to the firm to help carry on the business his death had interrupted.
