Biography
Johnston Norman, of London, is credited with executing the decorative embellishments on the elaborate Steinway & Sons art-grand piano built to Sir Alma Tadema's design for Mr. Marquand of New York. He worked under Tadema's personal direction as part of a commission that, together with Sir Edward Poynter's lid painting, took five years to complete. No other information about him is given in this passage.
