Biography
Joseph Fox operated a repairing and small manufacturing shop at 307 Bowery, New York, beginning in 1833. Like several contemporaries of modest standing, he was known only in an insignificant way in the trade up to about 1845 and was later remembered by old piano-makers chiefly as a journeyman.
