Biography
Knut Egberg was a cabinet-maker to the Court of Sweden whose celebrated Stockholm workshop John Anderson entered as an apprentice at age fourteen. Under Egberg's guidance Anderson had ample opportunity to study artistic productions in wood, and at the end of his five-year apprenticeship was awarded a large silver medal by the Society of Mechanics of Stockholm for his accomplishments. No further biographical detail about Egberg himself is given beyond his royal appointment and his role in training Anderson.
