Biography
Love was the "practical man" in the partnership of Torp & Love, New York piano makers at 465 Broadway, which he joined in December 1835. Under Love, the firm won the gold medal for the best square piano at the Mechanics' Institute in both 1836 and 1837. He left the firm in 1838 and was replaced by P. Unger, after which the business continued as Torp & Unger.
