Biography

Moscheles is named as one of the instructors at the Conservatory of Music in Leipsic (Leipzig), a school that drew students from all parts of the globe. Those students, trained by Moscheles and colleagues, went out into the world as teachers or virtuosos. Because they studied on Blüthner pianos during their time in Leipzig, their subsequent renown is credited with helping spread the reputation of the Blüthner piano internationally. No further biographical detail is given.
