Biography
Otto Doll was the eldest of Jacob Doll's five sons, all of whom were trained by their father as practical piano makers and entered the family business. When Jacob Doll and Sons was turned into a close corporation in 1904, Otto Doll was elected vice-president of the firm. Following his father's death in November 1911, he took over as acting president, continuing the leadership of the company his father had founded and built into a major American piano manufacturer, known especially for player pianos and coin-operated electric pianos.
