Biography

Otto Weickert, son of Carl Moritz Weickert, took over the felt manufacturing business built by his father and expanded it to enormous proportions, establishing distributing depots in all the larger markets. After fifty years of active participation in management, he turned the business over to the care of his son Max Weickert and his nephew Fritz Weickert, who maintained the firm's conservative policy while allowing for progressive advancement.
