P. J. Bailey
inventor
Biography
P. J. Bailey is mentioned in Alfred Dolge's history of the player piano as the developer of an electric self-playing device fitted to a number of pianos. The device did not prove a success, and this failure is presented as the background against which Theodore P. Brown of Worcester subsequently developed his own interior player mechanism. No further biographical detail, dates, or nationality are given for Bailey in the text.
