Biography
Paling, of Rotterdam, was the sole Dutch manufacturer to exhibit at the 1853 Crystal Palace World's Fair in New York, sending an upright piano as Holland's only representative entry in an exhibition where Austria, Russia, Spain, and Italy sent no pianos at all.
