Biography
Peter Duffy was a practical piano-maker of some originality and force of character who began business in New York in 1880, soon becoming known as a maker of good popular-priced pianos. He later changed the title of his business to the Schubert Piano Company, of which he was principal; the instruments bearing this name are described as meritorious for their price and character.
