Biography

Philip Harrison was an aging musician in New York for whose benefit a concert was held at the City Tavern in 1785 -- the same concert at which George Ulshoefer exhibited a pianoforte of his own make. Harrison had formerly been connected, as far back as 1762, with the New Theatre on Chapel Street.
