Plaidy is named alongside Moscheles, Wenzel and Reinecke as an instructor at the Conservatory of Music in Leipsic (Leipzig). Students from around the world came to be taught there before going out as teachers or virtuosos, and, having studied on Blüthner pianos during their time in the city, helped spread that piano's reputation abroad. No further biographical detail is given.
