Biography

Roux was described by Spillane as a prominent cabinet-maker well known to fashionable New York society in the early 1840s. His premises on Broadway near Broome Street were vacated and subsequently occupied by the piano-making firm of Linden & Fritz around 1846, when that firm moved from its original Walker Street location.
