Sackmeister

Biography
Sackmeister is named, alongside Stein, Loud, Hildebrand, and Streicher, among the ablest piano makers of their day who struggled with the problem of a downward-striking action for grand pianos and ultimately gave up the effort as hopeless, before Henri Pape later took up and continued the same pursuit.
