Spaett, of Dresden, is named by Spillane alongside Silbermann and Stein as one of the imitators who followed the popularity of Schröeter's early Dresden pianoforte. Spillane states only that Spaett, like the others in this group, went on to reach a high plane of eminence in the pianoforte manufacturing business in later years; no further individual detail is provided.
