Biography
W. W. Kimball is referenced in this volume chiefly as the uncle of Curtis N. Kimball, whom he summoned from an Iowa farm at age seventeen to come to Chicago and learn the business that became the W. W. Kimball Company. Curtis Kimball later succeeded him as president of the corporation in 1905. The text notes that W. W. Kimball's fuller biography appears earlier in the work, in Volume I, and does not repeat it here.
