Biography
William D. Lazelle managed the retail warerooms of William E. Wheelock & Company in New York for more than five years, building a large and steadily increasing patronage. On January 1, 1890, he was admitted as a partner in the firm's retail department. A native of Brooklyn, he had been brought up in the retail trade from an early period, and the text notes he held a large professional reputation and was highly esteemed in private circles.
