Biography
William Moore took possession of the Emerson piano business following the death of founder William P. Emerson in 1871. He held the business for several years before selling his interest in 1879 to P. H. Powers, O. A. Kimball, and J. Gramer, who then organized the Emerson Piano Company with Powers as president. No dates, origins, or further individual detail are supplied for Moore beyond this period of ownership.
