He founded his own business in 1978, specializing in piano tuning, servicing, repairs, and restorations. He holds long-term contracts with schools, music shops, churches, The Crown Melbourne Casino, and consults with importers. Active in the Piano Tuners & Technicians Guild Vic Inc since 1981, he achieved ARPT accreditation and has served on industry committees.
