About

Lead Technician/Owner, Riley Stairs. For me, 'Piano' has been a central theme to life since the age of 7. A passion for piano playing and the exploration of piano music eventually merged with my love for mechanics and 'hands-on' skill building. I apprenticed as a Piano Technician beginning in 2007, and had the opportunity to grow my skill as a tuner, technician and rebuilder working with almost every known brand and type of piano made, from Steinway and Bosendorfer to Lesage and Sherlock-Manning. The truth is that I enjoy working on the 125 year old forgotten heirloom just as much as the new Steinway grand! Each 'patient' gives me an opportunity to contribute to music and, I believe, quality of life. I’m honoured to enhance the musical experience for my clients, whatever the level of need.

Testimonials
{'quote': 'We had the privilege of Riley coming into our lives and providing excellent service on our baby grand. Highly recommend for any job no matter how big or small!', 'author': 'Sarah James Furlong'}
{'quote': 'Riley recently restored my Samick to the way it sounded back in 1997. ❤️ He is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and very fairly priced. Thank you for giving me back such a precious gift that was given to me all those years ago, it truly meant the world to me.', 'author': 'Sarah Montague'}
{'quote': 'Riley has been tuning our piano for years. He even revived it when we first got it and it hadn’t been tuned for about 10 years or more. It’s a pleasure to listen to the piano when he has completed the tuning and he gives it a test run. Too bad no one in the house could make it sound so sweet.', 'author': 'Grant Dwyer'}
