Thomas Buchholz

Thomas Buchholz (*1961) is a German composer and music scholar born in Eisenach, Thuringia. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig and the Akademie der Künste in Berlin. His work bridges traditional and avant-garde composition techniques, with a focus on historical music reception. He has held academic positions, curated festivals, and contributed to music research, including work at the Händel-Haus in Halle and the Staatlichen Komitas-Konservatorium in Eriwan.
